Bought a used car here. It had quite a bit of cosmetic damage but i was willing to look past it cause i liked how it drove and as the owner said - it was in ''perfect working condition'' with no advisories. A month in.. had a full service on it and turned out there were about 7 things that needed to be fixed and 3 of those made it unsafe and unroadworthy (when the MOT was 2 months old with no advisories? shady if you ask me). Paid close to 700 fixing that and only got refunded 230 by Eastwood Car Centre saying i should have brought it to them first.Another month passes by and it breaks down. This time i take it to them and they had the car for 3 days and said everything was fine with it, no faults found. Well a week after that it broke down again after which i was ignored by the owner.Having the car for 3 months it broke down 2 times and i've had to spend more than half the cars price in repairs.Although Luke appears to be helpful and promised to fix the cigarette burner fuse for free (which he did) it seems the good attitude and empty promises are more to get you out of his hair. In the end he sold an unroadworthy and unsafe car (which is illegal) and did not own up to it as he LEGALLY should. Also the 3 month warranty is there to give you false reassurance as they will not be able to fix your car or lie that there's nothing wrong with it and you will break down or die in a crash a week later but hey... at least you won't be there to complain anymore right?Would suggest to avoid or go there with a mechanic if you don't know much about cars yourself.
Bought my sons First Car off Luke last week really friendly approachable guy, no problems with the car son loves it! would highly recommend.
Helpful guy terrible car!!! Be very careful what you buy take car into proper service to do checks otherwise is a chance you will end up paying hundreds to sort a car properly!!!Bad experience...
Please people who have had problems with second hand cars purchased through a dealer, search your consumer rights and use them. If you learn and know your legal rights it will help you to get things fixed, replaced or refunded.
Bought a zafira. Nothing but problems. Told the sales guy it was for childminding and I was pregnant but still sold me a dud. When it came close to the 3 month warranty expiring. Guess what, never responded to my messages so I'm left with the bills to sort it out. Wish there was more consumer protection when you buy cars :(
