A small but imaginatively used library. There are computers for hire, a coffee and water area with tables to sit around. Toilets are at the back of the library and there is a lift as a well as a staircase to the 1st floor, which holds D. H. Lawrence artifacts as well as information on the area. There is a floating platform between the ground and first floors which often has artwork and displays. The children's area features a small play area and comfy reading chairs (we've used this part quite a lot). There are study groups that meet here and other groups are advertised throughout. Book selection is as good as you'll find in a small library. A quiet, cosy place to spend a lazy afternoon.
